I've been dreading this post.
It's almost sad, really, how much I've been avoiding my computer all together this past week and a half, for fear that both school and my blog would throw things at my face and kick me in the stomach and pull out most of my hair until I start to cry and then they would both be like, "here, this is all the work you have to do. and you only have 3 hours to do it" and then they would both cross their arms and scowl at me until I finally caved and started doing the stuff I'm supposed to be doing like reading, researching, commenting, and writing.
Ok.
Here's the thing: for the next three weeks, I will be undergoing not only two finals, three papers, one portfolio, nine pages of straight German writing, a presentation in German with three other people, Happy Hour at work, new work stuff but also trying to figure out what, exactly, my plan will be once I graduate this year.
I'm exhausted just looking at that list.
I will also vaguely put this out there: there's some talk of new work stuff and I'm trying to work it all out, so you'll have to pardon me if there is lack of bar stories for the next few weeks.
I wanted to make this post really organized and proper, but holy hell I'm already behind on two of the three papers I'm supposed to be working on... and then my professor just added another one. Maybe getting my email sent to phone wasn't such a great idea. Anyway, here's what's happened. Kind of.
Thing 1: I met a fellow blogger! In real life! The beautiful and fantastic Ella came and visited me the very secret place of where I work. It was pretty sweet, we got to meet each others bff's and took a few pictures.
She's blogging about it too.
This is how it went down:
We were email bffs.
And then we started texting.
And then... she arrived on a busy Saturday night to surprise me!
Thing 2: I got a new phone! It's currently holding my life inside of it, and now I'm slightly worried I'm going to become one of those people, except I totally know when to put the phone down and interact with people. Except when V and I play Bubble Blast.
Thing 3: I got V a book! And it's about our delicious friendship and she was so excited when she opened it. That totally made my day.
Thing 4: These are completely out of order. We started Happy Hour and it's fun, but the drinks are a lot harder to make. And then people get mad at us because we have to remember how to make them. And then we get mad at them for ordering them. And soon enough, we're all mad at each other.
Thing 5: Saturday night was weird, I started out in the bar, ended up bussing tables and running food and then back in the bar, only to end up driving to another restaurant to get stuff we needed. Basically, I was Superwoman in restaurant form.
Awesome.
Thing 6: Remember that time I was so upset Egypt was ruining my life? Yep, it's all fixed because MR. THOMAS FRIEDMAN finally came to speak to us and he was incredible. It was sweet to listen to someone talk about his opinions on the most important world situations. Also, it was nice to have my friends with me. Even if one was working, and I forced the other into going. That's what best friends are for, right?
Thing 7: Uhm, BiSC is less than two months away. Yup. LESS THAN TWO MONTHS. V and I have a calendar to count down the days. And write down what we need to do each day. We seem to find stuff to do because if we keep ourselves occupied, it'll go by faster. Right?
We also bought a fun card game to keep us entertained for the plane ride. I plan on being both intoxicated and acting like an eight-year-old for the seven hour(ish) flight. We'll probably have wi-fi too, so just be ready for that.
I am positive that there are lots more awesome things that happened, but this is what happens when I forget to write stuff down and live in the moment.
I did learn how to "Dougie" and successfully perfected my "Soulja Boy", so be ready for that.
V and I have also finished creating dances for not one, but two Ke-dollar sign- ha songs, so again, BiSC BEWARE.
We are totally bringing our dancing skeelz with us to Vegas.
I apologize for the complete lack of drawings, but I'm tired. I'll leave you with this:
This is the monster that lives in my head. He likes to yell.
Loudly.

This is my favorite picture yet. Blog is looking good. Keep up the good work.
ELLA! Where do you live?! Have I been missing out on other awesome Michigan bloggers?!
Just remember...take it one day at a time and one task at a time. Don't even look at the whole list because you will just get overwhelmed.
Whenever I got into crunches like that I would take an hour or so and sit down with my to-do list and work out a schedule of when each thing would get done. It always helped me focus on just the task at hand without getting overwhelmed worrying about everything I had to do.
Every time I come here I get so jealous that you are going to BiSC. I guess I have the 20sb meet-up to look forward to but that's 4 months away and OMG LIFE. I think your monster is in my head too. ;)
Lor
i feel you on this.
I have barely had time to read blogs let alone write in mine.
Stupid school/work/life in general.
We need to have our study date soon. Possibly when you aren't so overwhelmed.
